Globe Collection and Press at MICA in Communication Arts

We’re proud to share that our site for Globe Collection and Press at MICA has been named a top website in the 2018 Communication Arts Interactive Annual.

For those unfamiliar, the Globe Poster and Printing Corporation was one of the most prolific and influential printing operations of the 20th century. When it closed up shop in 2011, MICA became the new home for Globe’s wood types, letterpress cuts, posters, and ephemera. Our goal for this site was to create a digital archive that celebrates and preserves Globe’s work.

We’ve been fortunate to have a great relationship with the Globe at MICA team over the years. With their collaboration and support, we were able to create a site all of us are really proud of. We’re excited to continue expanding on this site in the future and introducing new features.
