Well Dunn is an experienced and respected catering firm that has served the D.C., Maryland, and Virginia markets for more than 35 years.

Despite its stellar reputation, Well Dunn was having trouble breaking into the highest end of the market for the region’s largest events.

Well Dunn needs to appeal to a wide range of audiences with different needs. In our research, we found these decision-makers all had one thing in common – a desire for incredible events, paired with a strong aversion to risk.

In this highly-competitive market, it’s important that Well Dunn’s site be unique while remaining true to who they are. We wanted to showcase the team’s experience, capabilities, and how they pair innovative cuisine with impeccable service.

We gravitated towards this horizontal layout because it works as a highlight reel and also a sales presentation. It’s not something Well Dunn was used to seeing or expecting, but they trusted us and ended up loving the approach. Using color blocks throughout the layout to mask image slideshows and breakup stories is simple but feels exactly like we envisioned.

When we started this project it was specifically for a new website. However, we knew there was an opportunity to not just refresh the site, but extend our vision to the entire brand. In addition to the site, we updated and extended the look of the site to all marketing collateral.

The site is built on a customized WordPress implementation. This allowed us to make it fully-managed by the client without having to sacrifice anything on the design or development side. The build is also based on modules, which makes new page creation incredibly quick and simple.
