An Enduring Partnership

Crate and Barrel and CB2 are two of the country's most successful furniture and housewares brands–with more than 100 stores and thriving ecommerce businesses.

For nearly a decade, we were the lead email agency for both brands and handled writing, designing, and coding of more than 1,300 emails per year. In addition to their core businesses, we have built and maintained specific programs targeting newly registered couples, interior designers, new movers, and more. Through close collaboration with the client and continually testing new strategies and creative, we were able to significantly increase revenue each year.

Storytelling Not (Just) Sales

Perhaps the biggest shift we made for Crate and Barrel and CB2 was moving them beyond an overreliance on promotions. To do this, we focused on creating engaging stories around new products, collections, designers, and ways to incorporate these items into your home. Not only did this keep emails fresh, but allowed us to deliver robust sales without discounting.

Constant Evolution

The work we did for Crate and Barrel and CB2 changed dramatically over the years. We constantly evolved layouts, coding techniques, use of dynamic content, and more to ensure customers never grew tired of our emails, and we continually drove revenue growth.

Beyond Email

In addition to the 12,000+ unique emails we created, we designed and developed a number of web experiences for both brands, including holiday promotions, new product launches, digital advertising, and national marketing campaigns. Through each of these projects, we developed strategic creative concepts, designed every aspect of the experience, and developed for multiple platforms and user groups.
